Web 2.0 Architect

Location: West Cost

 

Evaluate new technologies, seeing where it can be used.  Taking end-users and market trends to hone in on future technologies for a platform perspective. Will be a part of the platform architecture team and focus primarily on architectural implications of the next generation Web 2.0 wireless handheld devices.  Develop requirements and provide recommendations.  Provide technical guidance to Engineering and Product teams on all Web 2.0 architectures.

 

Requirements:

-5 year’s experience w/PhD or 7+ year’s w/MS degree.

-Web 2.0 experience.

-Software engineering and/or architecture experience.

-Software and web application experience.

 

Additional Skills: C/C++, Java programming

 

Salary Range:    $120k - $200k DOE + Bonuses

OS Architect

Location: West Coast

-Linux, Microsoft OS experience, understanding of drivers and OS internals.

Software Engineering Manager

Job description:

-In charge of planning, execution, Integration, validation, verification and certification for all software programs.

-Coordinating software activities for all programs, assigning Software Engineers to programs and manage man power issues.

-Direct management of the Software Engineering team.

-Providing professional leadership

-Developing, training and incorporating software processes in support of CMMI.

-Selecting, purchasing and assimilating software tools

-Support bids, proposals and marketing activities.

 

Requirements:

-Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

-Minimum of 8 years of experience, at least 5 in managing software teams, preferably in large organizations.

-Familiarity with real-time applications

-Experience in Military (DOD) and/or Commercial Avionics (FAA) software development, verification, certification and standards

-Experience in developing and tracking execution of programs using MS project.

-Understanding of Software Quality Assurance process.

-Leader with excellent inter-personal skills.

-Energetic, motivated and eager to excel.

-US Citizen or permanent resident.

 

Additional Skills:

-Familiarity with Video and Computer Graphic applications

-Knowledge/Experience in Systems Engineering and CMMI

Principal Systems Engineer – Medical

Responsible for creating and interpreting medical system feature functions/specifications and generating medical system hardware, electronics and sensor requirements in compliance with FDA guidelines. Responsible for concept definition, conducting tradeoff analyses, risk analyses, FMEA and preparing system level specifications including interface definition. Ability to define system-level issues of hardware tradeoffs, error budgets, reliability and maintainability, validation and verification test plans. Must be able to effectively communicate these requirements to the development team through the individual Program Manager. Detailed development experience in at least three of the following disciplines is required: mechanical, electrical, optics, fluidics and software. Will be required to generate Verification and Validation Plans and Procedures. Must have an overall understanding of the function, design and producibility of medical products. Requires a Master’s degree in a technical discipline and 8+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Principal Systems Engineer – Commercial Avionics

Requires Systems engineer with background in Commercial Avionics systems.
Responsible for analyzing customer requirements, translating the requirements to engineering activities,
Manage sub-contractors for the design of sub-systems. Be able to prepare the documents required: Specifications, Interface documents, Statement of work, etc. Leading multi-disciplinary Engineering activities for the program. Managing requirements, validation, verification, and certification. Requires hands-on experience in managing programs through their entire life-cycle, and providing a focal point for the customer, management, vendors and partners. Good communication skills are vital. Will also be responsible for supporting proposals, bids, and marketing activities.

Requirements:
• Hands on experience in the development of airborne systems. displays, imaging systems, Head-Up displays, airborne computers. Understanding of business aspects, creating and maintaining of program schedule, budget and deliverables. Electronic and electro optic systems
• Familiarity with design to FAA standards (DO-160, DO-178, DO-254), FARs, ACs, etc.
• Understanding of system engineering process. Requirement tracking and verification. CMMI process.
• Experience with FAA certification process.
• Multi-disciplinary knowledge: Electronics, software, Electro-optics, mechanical.
• Understanding of program management process and roles. In particular Earned Value
• Travel will be required. (Not expected to exceed 20% of the time).
• Well organized, able to multi-task
• Leader, good communication skills, self confident, and respectful of others
• Ability to manage multiple

Desired Skills:
• Pilot’s license.
• Hebrew as second language
• Familiarity with DOORS requirements management tool.
• Familiarity with COBRA EVMS management tool
Education/Expereince:
BS/MS Electrical Engineering or may consider BS/MS in Aeronautics, avionics, physics or electro-optics. Minimum of 7 years experience and at least 5 as system engineer in Avionics

Systems Engineer

Technical responsibility for all aspects of optical, electrical, mechanical, software and environmental engineering of the system.  This includes systems modeling and validation to all subsystems.  Background should include experience with remote sensor applications, EO camera design, and image-processing techniques.

Systems Engineer

Support the development and design of advanced electro-optical systems including visible and infrared imaging systems, hyper-spectral systems, and thermal imaging systems. Should have expert knowledge in one or more of the fields of remote sensing, image science, optics, focal planes, servo systems, processing algorithms, analog/digital electronics and real-time embedded software systems.
