Principal Systems Engineer
– Medical
|
Responsible for creating
and interpreting medical system feature functions/specifications and
generating medical system hardware, electronics and sensor requirements
in compliance with FDA guidelines. Responsible for concept definition,
conducting tradeoff analyses, risk analyses, FMEA and preparing system
level specifications including interface definition. Ability to define
system-level issues of hardware tradeoffs, error budgets, reliability and
maintainability, validation and verification test plans. Must be able to
effectively communicate these requirements to the development team
through the individual Program Manager. Detailed development experience
in at least three of the following disciplines is required: mechanical,
electrical, optics, fluidics and software. Will be required to generate
Verification and Validation Plans and Procedures. Must have an overall
understanding of the function, design and producibility
of medical products. Requires a Master’s degree in a technical
discipline and 8+ years of related experience, or an equivalent
combination of education and experience.

Principal Systems Engineer
– Commercial Avionics

Requires Systems engineer
with background in Commercial Avionics systems.
Responsible for analyzing customer requirements, translating the
requirements to engineering activities,
Manage sub-contractors for the design of sub-systems. Be able to prepare
the documents required: Specifications, Interface documents, Statement of
work, etc. Leading multi-disciplinary Engineering activities for the
program. Managing requirements, validation, verification, and
certification. Requires hands-on experience in managing programs through
their entire life-cycle, and providing a focal point for the customer,
management, vendors and partners. Good communication skills are vital.
Will also be responsible for supporting proposals, bids, and marketing
activities.
Requirements:
• Hands on experience in the development of airborne systems. displays, imaging systems, Head-Up displays, airborne
computers. Understanding of business aspects, creating and maintaining of
program schedule, budget and deliverables. Electronic and electro optic
systems
• Familiarity with design to FAA standards (DO-160, DO-178,
DO-254), FARs,
ACs, etc.
• Understanding of system engineering process. Requirement tracking
and verification. CMMI process.
• Experience with FAA certification process.
• Multi-disciplinary knowledge: Electronics, software,
Electro-optics, mechanical.
• Understanding of program management process and roles. In
particular Earned Value
• Travel will be required. (Not expected to exceed 20% of the
time).

This includes systems modeling and validation to all
subsystems. Background should include
experience with remote sensor applications, EO camera design, and image-processing
techniques.
