Job

Description

Process Technician

Operate, maintain and optimize tools performance for demo readiness, maintain SPC protocols and conduct, pre-qulify tool for demo per process and systems guidelines. Perform demo and wafer events, establish new BKMs on recipe optimization and maintenance. Perform tool reliability characterization and generate demo defect reports.

Support ongoing process development efforts.

Candidate must have an Associates degree or 2 -4 years vocational experience with systems and electrical instrumentation operation.

Technical Operations

-Organize and lead Technical Support to customers and field service engineers on assigned regional basis.
-Organize / develop customer support strategies for field service organization.
-Coordinate technical review discussions with product teams to enhance tool performance and assist account managers with factory support.
-Facilitate communication of field issues into the factory organization and support the continuous improvement process.
-Maintain regional equipment profile and continuous update of drivers for strategic support plan.
-Assess service support capabilities of the organization and make cost-effective recommendations that will enhance market share.

List minimum education, training and experience needed to perform this job:

-B.S. Degree in Engineering or Science or equivalent degree; MBA a plus.
-7-10 years product support and field service management experience in high tech environment.
-Demonstrated experience in marketing/delivering customer support solutions such as continuous improvement road maps.
-Experience in managing remote service teams.
-Outstanding communications skills, both written and verbal.
-Professional attitude and clear understanding of industry customer support goals and customer satisfaction philosophy.
-Demonstrated desire to enhance career through continuing education and/or skills development programs. Must hold a valid travel passport or can qualify to obtain passport within 30 days.

-Must be fluent in Chinese

Process Engineer

-Work in the Applications lab as a process engineer supporting wafer processing and characterization tools
-Work in close collaboration with the process engineering team in the Strategic Applications group to conduct experiments towards developing new metrology capabilities
-Operate the various metrology tools in the Lab for proper characterization of the wafers (including RTP, Thermawave, wet processing and sheet resistance measurements)
-Develop new processes and protocols to facilitate data analysis on processed wafers
-On an as needed basis, provide wafer process and characterization training to customers in the field. This amy require the candidate to travel up to 10% of the time
-Adopt / develop processes and protocols for SPC tracking of all metrology tools, analyze the data and implement necessary changes to improve the lab capabilities
-Collaborate with new and existing vendors to implenent up-grades capability of existing metrology tool sets
-Collaborate with his/her manager to develop methods for advanced characterization of special applications such as ultra shallow junctions and low dose
-Maintain the process upkeep of the designated tools sets in a collaborative team environment of the lab.
-Publish applications notes and technical papers as appropriate

Desired Qualifications
-BS or MS degree in engineering or physical sciences. A Chemical background with material analysis and characterization is very desireable
-At least three (3) or more year’s experience in a laboratory or analytical environment, semiconductor fab or equivalent
-Must have good skills for design of experiments
-Ability to independently analyze data and prepare reports of technical findings.
-Must possess excellent communication skills (oral and written)
-Experience in handling traditional chemicals used in the fab is desirable, but not essential
-Ability to use the computer for data analysis and report writing ( Powerpoint, Excel, Project etc).
